This annual town celebration brings together families from Trumbull and surrounding towns for a day of fun, food and festivities. This year, the Trumbull Fall Festival has been expanded to a two-day event.
The Carnival and Food Truck Festival will be Friday from 5-10 p.m. and Saturday from noon-10 p.m. There will be a carnival and amusements for kids of all ages. An unlimited ride session will take place Saturday from noon-5 p.m. at a cost of $25 per bracelet. Single- and multi-ticket discount packs will also be available.
On Friday, the Eagles tribute band The Desert Highway Band will take the stage at 7 p.m. Jen Durkin and the Business, will be on the stage at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, performing songs from the rock, soul, and blues genres. Then, the Trumbull High School Golden Eagles Marching Band will share a sneak preview from its 2017 Presidential Inauguration ceremony performance in Washington.
The grand finale of the festival will be a 30-minute fireworks show. A Beer and Wine Patio for those 21 and older will feature locally crafted and domestic beers, and a variety of wines. Plenty of food trucks and vendors will be on hand, including: Reddi Rooster’s nuggets and potato puffs, Vazzy’s grilled burgers and dogs, Mamoun’s falafel, Corn Stalkers' fresh roasted corn and Philly steak sandwiches, Taco Loco, Luigi’s Pastry and many more.
There is a $5 admission fee, but children age 5 and younger are admitted free. The $5 fee will cover admission to the event both Friday and Saturday. The town is still accepting corporate sponsorships to help offset operational costs of the event, and volunteers are needed to assist in various areas of the festival.
